Quagliarella Admit Almost Join Inter
Sampdoria striker Fabio Quagliarella reveals that he almost joined Inter Milan, where the opportunity came up to three times.
Not only that, the 34-year-old player also does not mind if playing for Napoli again.
Media reports in Italy reported during Inter’s coverage of the match on Tuesday that Quagliarella was approached by the opposing team’s management.
“For years, I was pretty close to a move to Inter about two or three times, but nothing came true,” Quagliarella said while giving confirmation to the media crew.
“It’s great to be able to join such a great team, but I’m happy with my career and what I’m achieving.”
The former Italian national team striker was criticized by Napoli fans for joining the Juventus squad in 2010, before it emerged that his departure was driven by the interests of several parties.
He told Premium Sport after losing 3-2 from the Nerazzurri: “We started the game well, but then they managed to score the goal cave.”
“We’re back to the game in the second half, but unfortunately we can not equalize with them.”
“Inter or Napoli? I think Partenopei is better. Watching them play is beautiful plus it has a spectacular style. ”
“Back to Napoli? I feel very good here, but we will see what happens in the future. Everyone knows my love for Naples. “
